Jazz at the Station with the WSU Jazz Combo (Ogden: March 14)


Tonight’s Special: Jazz Combo

and Ogden’s Union Station Foundation
What: Jazz at the Station with the WSU Jazz Combo
When: Wednesday, 14 March 2012 • 7:30 pm
Where: Grand Lobby, Union Station, 2501 Wall Avenue in Ogden

Jazz at the Station, a monthly program designed to give local jazz fans and performers an opportunity to meet and enjoy jazz, presents the WSU Jazz Combo. Wednesday, March 14, at 7:30 pm in the Grand Lobby of Ogden’s Union Station. This is a free performance. Well-behaved children are welcome. 

The WSU Jazz Combo personnel includes Lex Meldrum, sax; Gordon Greenwood, guitar; Casey Wood, piano and vocals; Spencer Howe, bass; Bobby Gilgert, drums.  
They will be playing:
“Brother With the Mint Green Vine” by Cyrus Chestnut
“Ceora” by Lee Morgan
“Have You Met Miss Jones” by Rodgers and Hart
“Katrina James” by Jeff “Tain” Watts
“Nutville” by Horace Silver
“Pent Up House” by Sonny Rollins
“Softly As a Morning Sunrise” by Hammerstein and Romberg
“Summer Samba” by Marcos Valle
“Too High” by Stevie Wonder
Casey will be singing a couple of tunes, TBA.

Jazz at the Station provides an all-ages venue for jazz fans and students. Well behaved children are welcome to attend as long as they do not disturb the performers or members of the audience.
