Moving Space Exhibit @ BDAC (Bountiful: May 14 - June 18)

Moving Space Exhibit plus Collaborations Exhibit to be Displayed at BDAC

May 14- June 18, 2010

BOUNTIFUL, Utah, April 21, 2010 – Bountiful/Davis Art Center is pleased to present Moving Space Exhibit along with Collaborations Exhibit which will be on display from May 14 until June 18, 2010. An opening reception will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 7-9 in the evening at Bountiful/Davis Art Center, 745 So. Main Street in Bountiful.

The Moving Space Exhibit will feature a wide variety of 3-D art from figurative to contemporary works. Well known Utah artists such as Ortho Fairbanks, Beth A. Ashdown, Virgil Oertle, Anne Gregerson, BDAC’s own sculpting instructor, Mike Call, Joshua Toone, Dan Toone, Heidi M. Somsen, Gary Hall, Rod Heiss, Sylvia Ramachandran, and Lone Vilnius are scheduled to participate in this exhibit.

The companion exhibit, Collaborations, will feature artists who work together in a collaborative manner. Artists in this exhibit include Brian Kirshisnik & Joe Adams, Walt Hunter & Jesus Silva along with Benjamin Davis, Ric & Marcee Blackerby, and Lester B. Lee & Brandi Bixler.

“The selection of 3-D art from these high caliber artists is going to be an amazing display along with the Collaborations Exhibit. Some of the stories behind these pairs of collaborating artists are as unique as the pieces they produce.” says Trixee Buckingham, Education Programs Coordinator at Bountiful/Davis Art Center.

Walt Hunt & Jesus Silva will be collaborating with artist Benjamin Davis in a live demo during the opening reception.

Please note the new hours of Bountiful/Davis Art Center:

Tuesday-Friday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Saturday: 2-5 pm

BDAC is closed on Sunday and Monday (except for Family Encounters of the Art Kind on the third Monday), holidays and in between exhibits.
