After our experience with several candidates this past summer and following consultation with the museum staff, President Albrecht, Provost Cockett, George Wanlass, and other stakeholders, I have contacted Carol Strong and the rest of the committee to ask them to continue the search. We will readvertise the position immediately.
I would ask that you help us to identify any candidates you may know who might either be interested themselves or who might know others to nominate. In the meantime, the museum is in good hands with Professor Chris Terry as Interim Director. Although the museum remains closed to the public, Chris and his team are happy to schedule tours for classes or individuals by appointment.
