Utah Symphony's DVMF Week 2: Brandenburg Concerto (July 28), Muir Quartet (July 29), MoTab (July 30), Bravo Broadway (July 31) | Park City

UTAH SYMPHONY | UTAH OPERA’S DEER VALLEYÒ MUSIC FESTIVAL PRESENTS A WEEKEND WITH THE MORMON TABERNACLE CHOIR AND BROADWAY DIVAS

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will present an evening of All-American music and the Broadway Divas will sing the best of the Great White Way


SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s Deer ValleyÒ Music Festival continues its musical summer with a performance featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Friday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m. and Bravo Broadway: Broadway Divas on Saturday, July 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Deer ValleyÒ Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Prior to the these events, two Chamber concerts will take place featuring Brandenburg’s Concerto No. 3 on Wednesday, July 28 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, followed by a performance with the Muir String Quartet on Thursday, July 29 at 8:00 p.m. at Temple Har Shalom.

Brandenburg Concerto No. 3
The Utah Chamber Artists will join the Utah Symphony for an evening of inspiring choral music in the intimate setting of St Mary’s Church. Bach’s ever-popular Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 will showcase the orchestra’s virtuosity along with the bookends of Howells’ a capella Requiem and four traditional folk songs, including the ballad Danny Boy will demonstrate the choir’s forte.

Muir String Quartet
The Muir String Quartet, an annual favorite for Deer Valley® Music Festival audiences, will return to perform an exquisite evening of powerful and insightful chamber music that includes a new piano quartet by Joan Tower featuring Utah Symphony Principal Keyboard Jason Hardink.

An American Salute with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
The joining of the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony will create an unforgettable experience. The evening will feature patriotic and popular American music.

Bravo Broadway: Broadway Divas!
Utah Symphony Principal Pops Conductor Jerry Steichen will bring Broadway to life with fun-filled hits from the best stage productions of the decade. The orchestra will be joined by three of the hottest Divas from Broadway, Lisa Vroman, Susan Egan and Jan Horvath.

Tickets
Tickets for the chamber performances (July 28 and 29) are $25 and $10 for students. Tickets for July 30 are $25 for the lawn, $10 for students and youth, $60 for families (maximum is 2 adults and 4 children under the age of 18) and $60-$85 for reserved. Tickets for the performance on July 31 are $30 for the lawn, $15 for students and youth, $85 for families and $60-$85 for reserved. Ticket prices will increase $5 the day of the performance. Tickets can be purchased by calling (801) 533-NOTE (6683), in person at the Abravanel Hall box office, or by visiting usuo.org. Tickets may also be purchased at Deer Valley® Signature’s stores, at the Park Silly Sunday Market, or through ArtTix Outlets.

Venue Information
Maximum chair height is nine inches from the ground. Please call ticket office in advance for limited wheelchair or other accessible seating: (801) 533-NOTE. Gates open to all ticket holders approximately two hours before the performance begins. Patrons must be present to save a spot in line; unattended items will be removed. Valid picture ID required to pick up tickets at will-call. No ticket reprinting available for General Admission seating. Food and drinks are allowed at the venue.
