Salt Lake City, UT: The Utah Arts Festival Gallery, housed in the Festival offices, is pleased to present Vistas, paintings by Patrice Showers Corneli, Rachel Pettit, Michael Rusnack from March 18 through April 8.
Patrice Showers Corneli’s studied art and biology at Beloit College. Her paintings balance abstract ideas with hands-on experimentation in biology and art. www.patricecorneli.com
Rachel Pettit has 25 years of professional painting experience. Her paintings have been juried into many of the nation's top exhibitions including Arts for the Parks Top 100, Oil Painters of America National and Regional Exhibitions, Salon International, American Impressionist Society, and International Artist Magazine, and are included in collections throughout the United States. www.rachelpetit.com
Michael Rusnack finds painting a creative outlet when compared to his training as a degreed engineer. Originally from the Greater Chicago area, his interest in the visual arts began as a set designer. He is focused on developing oil painting techniques referred to the painterly approach. His works of interpretative realism depict landscape scenes of the west and his native Midwest roots.
Artists’ reception, in conjunction with the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll, is Friday, March 18 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
