A Secret Gift: the Book |
Dear Utah Cultural Alliance,
We're so excited that our new CD, Red Rock Rondo Live at the Symphony: A Secret Gift,
will be off to the presses in a couple of weeks! And we'll be releasing
it to you September 15! Below are a few inside peaks at the CD, along
with some other tidbits.
A cast of hundreds!
The new CD is a live recording of Red Rock Rondo's December concert with the Salt Lake Symphony, conducted by Robert Baldwin, and the 160-voice West Jordan High School Concert Choir, directed by Kelly DeHaan. It was recorded by Bob Abeyta of Bel Canto Recording, and the tracks were engineered, edited and mixed by Michael Greene at Rotosonic Sound.

New photos, New song!
At the top of this email is one of our new photos from Roz Newmark, who also created a wonderful still-life (right) with an antique toy pull-horse. Of course, that meant Phillip had to go and write a new song! "Horses on Wheels" honors the little girl who received one for Christmas in 1933, as a result of the secret gift to her parents. Soon we'll also send you sneak peaks at the cover art (a wonderful painting by Edie Roberson) and the splendid CD jacket design by Sandy Bell.
