THE 2011 DEER VALLEY® MUSIC FESTIVAL BEGINS WITH “THE MUSIC OF THE EAGLES: A ROCK SYMPHONY WITH THE UTAH SYMPHONY”

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s eighth annual Deer Valley® Music Festival (DVMF) will open this year with a tribute to one of the most successful music acts of the 1970’s, the Eagles.

The Music of the Eagles: A Rock Symphony with the Utah Symphony will hit the stage of the Deer Valley® Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m. with guest conductor Larry Baird. With five number one singles, six Grammys, five American Music Awards and six number one albums, The Eagles left a legacy of timeless music that Baird has now re-scored to feature the power of a full orchestra, amplified by a rock tribute band and accompanied by singers Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and John Hines. Audiences will enjoy this re-creation of The Eagles’ classic hits in the picturesque mountain setting of Park City, Utah.

Tickets for the performance are $35 for the lawn and $60 - $85 for reserved seating, and can be purchased by calling (801) 533-NOTE (6683), in person at the Abravanel Hall box office, or by visiting www.usuo.org.
