The Utah Cultural Celebration Center is proud to host Fiesta! – a spicy evening of art, activity, entertainment, excitement and education celebrating Mexican heritage and culture in Utah.  It’s Fiesta! time!

Bring the family and enjoy the Fiesta!, highlighted by traditional Mexican music, dance, Aztec ritual performances, food and a ceremonial torch lighting of the Olmec head with fireworks.  Along with stemmed rose giveaways there will be ongoing games of the popular La Lotería(with prizes!), paper flower making and demonstrations, bead stringing and other children’s activities, including piñata breaking, balloon animals, bouncy houses and face painting.

Imported arts & crafts from Mexico will be for sale in the Una Mano Amiga sponsoredMercado, with funds supporting health needs of children in Mexico.  La 35 will have delicious food for sale, and Rancho Markets have made sweet bread available for purchase.

Special guest and repujado artist JJ Galicia will have an exhibition at Fiesta, and he will also be on hand to discuss his artwork.  Artes de Mexico en Utah will host the popular exhibit Viva Frida! highlighting the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, and local photographer Yandhi Reynoso’s Pieces of Home exhibit will also be on display.

Finally, Fiesta! will feature stage performances by Latin Dance Heritage, Casa Chiapas Marimba Group, FLAMA, Ballet Folklorico de Las Americas, Calpuli, Ichantzinco Tlaloc and Mariachi America.  Don’t miss this celebration!
