Carlos Rosales-Silva is a contemporary artist from Austin, Texas. His paintings photos, sculptures and drawings investigate themes of borders, diversity and identity. Amplified tales of cowboys and Indians, pop cultural stereotypes of Mexicans, oral family history and personal experience all funnel into Rosales-Silva’s work which he revises, alters, critiques and explores.
The Art Truck brings exciting and accessible contemporary art created by leading local and national artists directly to schools and community venues along the Wasatch Front. Art Truck docent Elly Baldwin will lead visitors through a meaningful exploration and analysis of Carlos Rosales-Silva’s work.
UMOCA’s Art Truck is available free-of-charge for a wide variety of educational and charitable purposes. For more information or to request a visit by the Art Truck, contact Jared Steffensen atjared.steffensen@utahmoca.org or call 801-328-4201 x122.
