Since 2002, UTah Artist Hands has been known as the premier gallery specializing in fine art and crafts exclusively from Utah artists. The gallery features paintings in oil, acrylic, mixed media, watercolor and pastels; work from traditional to contemporary styles as well as work with a Southwestern flair. Here you can also find locally made pottery, woodworking, metalwork, glass (fused and blown) as well as a broad array of jewelry and regional photography.
As much as we loved our location on 100 South - close to the Salt Palace Convention Center - the lure of 300 South (Broadway) was too much to resist. While that area sees a lot of out of state visitors - Broadway is rich with local traffic. This street has a lot more parking, so much walking traffic and we have terrific neighbors - like The Broadway Center Cinema, Copper Onion, The Green Ant, City Creek Antiques and Michael Berry Gallery and Framing (with whom we are sharing space).
UTah Artist Hands has been a long time dream of owner, Pam O'Mara - who has a true passion for the talent found in this wonderful state. She represents some of the best, established artists from Utah and prides herself on finding some of the best emerging artists to round out the collection.
UTah Artist Hands is open noon until 7pm Monday through Friday and noon until 5pm on Saturday - though Pam readily admits to often staying later because she enjoys the great local crowds who show up in the evenings on their way to a movie or dinner.
We are celebrating our new location and our excitement of finally being "on Broadway" with a group show entitled "A New Leaf" which features work from the amazing lineup of fabulous artists. A grand re-opening reception will be held during gallery stroll on December 6th from 6pm until 9pm.
