"Messiah" Sing-along at Orem Public Library with Utah Lyric Opera and The Provo Orem Word
This year, Utah Lyric Opera has prepared a "messiah" sing-along featuring Metropolitan Opera singer Ariel Bybee, and narration between the musical numbers prepared by the award-winning Elizabeth Hansen. The narration was gleaned from research by Tim Slover, author of "A Joyful Noise" and "Messiah: the Little-Known Story of Handel's Beloved Oratorio." The Provo Orem Word will lead a Q&A with Slover, Bybee, and Hansen about how the "Messiah" continues to inspire audiences and artists though the centuries. Signed copies of Slover's "Messiah" book will be available to those who donate the list price to The Provo Orem Word after the program. It's on Monday. Dec. 12, at 7pm in Orem Pubic Library. Families are welcome.
