Salary: $10 - $14 per hour Job Description: This position is an integral part of a dedicated fund raising team supporting Utah’s largest public radio station: KUER 90.1. The successful candidate will provide support to the Marketing/Events Department by organizing specific functions related to marketing, public relations, fundraising activities, partnerships, special events and community engagement activities. This may include assisting with the preparation and distribution of promotional materials, making arrangements for facilities, food, etc. for events, managing partnership relationships, and securing fund drive premiums.
Responsibilities: Marketing Functions: - Assist in the preparation, distribution, and design of promotional materials, e-newsletters, and other communications - Help execute guerilla marketing campaigns for U campus - Maintain media contact lists and help distribute press releases - Assist with social media outlets including finding content and scheduling posts Event responsibilities: - Organize details supporting special events including budget tracking and event set-up - Train & manage volunteers - Make arrangements for facilities, food, accommodations for talent, orders supplies Community Engagement responsibilities: - Assist with PSA/Community Calendar - Train volunteers - Help manage partnership relationships - Assist with remote activities including tabling responsibilities and local booth presence Fund Drive responsibilities: - Shift Coordinate - Assist with securing & ordering premiums
Minimum Qualifications: Four years public relations experience which includes two years marketing, fundraising or sales activities, or equivalency required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience with marketing, social media and events. Good computer and organizational skills are essential. Experience writing news releases, producing newsletters and organizing special events and fund-raising activities preferred.
