Utah Symphony | Utah Opera is seeking a creative individual who is a strong writer with a combination of technical and design knowledge to manage its web properties and develop digital marketing content.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
•Develop engaging digital content the promotes the Utah Symphony and Utah Opera and creates an irresistible desire to know more about organization and its performances and programs
•Ensure content on websites is up-to-date, relevant, accurate, and easy to find
•Increase traffic to USUO websites through search engine optimization and search marketing
•Create landing pages for marketing campaigns
•Track and report on web analytics using Google Analytics and use this information to increase conversion rates for online marketing campaigns
•Plan for future changes to the websites and think creatively to produce new ideas and content
•Manage USUO’s Google AdWords account
•Daily maintenance of websites including troubleshooting and debugging
•Coordinate with third-party hosting and development companies
•Update content and design pages for USUO’s websites
•Manage internal and external advertising inventory on USUO web properties
•Design emails and web graphics for online marketing and fundraising campaigns
•Manage and train users and user groups with access to the content manager
Desired Skills & Experience
•Bachelor or Associate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
•1- 2 years experience managing production of web content and design
•Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and PHP
•Experience using graphics and web development tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
•Understanding of recognized web coding standards and programming languages
•Understanding of responsive web design standards
•Experience with web analytics tools including Google Analytics
•Experience with Joomla and WordPress preferred
•Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects
•Knowledge of current best practices for online advertising and organic search engine optimization
•Strong analytic ability
•Strong written communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
