Job Description: Utah Symphony | Utah Opera (USUO) is seeking an experienced Director of Ticket Sales & Patron Services to manage the organization’s customer service and ticket sales activity, which includes ticket sales and sales promotions for the Utah Symphony, Utah Opera, and the Deer Valley® Music Festival (DVMF). The Director Ticket Sales & Patron Services reports to the V.P. of Marketing & Public Relations will work closely with USUO’s Marketing and Development departments.

Essential responsibilities include:
•Plan annual department budgets and forecast performance revenue with the assistance of the V.P. of Finance & CFO and V.P of Marketing & PR
•Direct USUO’s season subscription campaign to attract, retain, and grow subscriber households using sales and direct marketing campaigns including direct mail, email, telemarketing, etc.
•Manage patron loyalty and engagement programs in collaboration with USUO’s Marketing and Development departments to create and implement strategies that develop a loyal patron base / audience
•Monitor and provide feedback in relation to the customer experience and develop strategies and programs to improve these experiences
•Oversee Ticket Office operations and policies in conjunction with the Patron Services Manager
•Work with the Group Sales Manager and Telemarketing/Telefundraising Manager to develop sales strategies and incentives
•Develop pricing strategies and scaling for performances and packages to maximize performance revenue and attendance
•Manage relationships with third-party ticket salespartners (i.e. ArtTix)
•Provide ticket services to high-end donors and other VIP patrons
•Develop and manage special promotions
•Analyze sales data and trends
•Provide sales reports and other needed reports.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sales, or related field or five years experience working in a ticket office or sales environment. Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well under deadline and to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to work independently and as part of a team; high level of initiative and creativity; attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
