Lauded for his recent body of work, titled “Autobiographies,” Perin Mahler skillfully manipulates a photograph and then vividly captures his subject in startling color revealing a unique connection to the artist himself. Mahler holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and a master of fine arts degree in painting from Queens College in New York, New York. His works have been acquired and are among such distinguished collections as The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Sirak Collection in Columbus, Ohio, Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, and the San Francisco Art Institute. In addition, his works have been exhibited throughout the United States.
