SALT LAKE CITY – Craft Lake City is excited to announce the third installment in the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series: Letterpress Mother’s Day Cards with Nic Annette Miller of Friends Make Prints (friendsmakeprints.com). Nic will be teaching workshop participants how to make two different letterpress cards, using the original set type method and the digital, new age method using photopolymer plates.
The workshop will be held on Monday, April 23 at SaltGrass Printmakers, a non-profit organization dedicated to the art of printmaking. It is an all-ages event, with a $5 materials fee - the first five participants to arrive at the event will craft for free.
Craft Lake City has created the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series in an effort to not only support the handmade, DIY community, but also educate and encourage others to get involved. Happening every other month at different locations, participants are taught a simple craft by Alum Artists of the Craft Lake City festival.
