to headline the 2012 Summer Solstice Show

Salt Lake City, UT: Neko Case is set to headline the 2012 Summer Solstice Show, Saturday, June 16 at 7:30pm on Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City.

Neko Case’s release The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood brought her to the nexus where critical acclaim meets commercial success. The album landed on many “Best of” lists as well as #1 on Amazon.com’s editors’ picks and #2 on NPR’s All Songs Considered. Case’s 2009 follow up Middle Cyclone debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts making it her first album to reach the top 10 in the United States. She was named “Female Artist of the Year” at the Independent Music Awards in 2009.

Neko Case’s most recent musical contribution is the track “Nothing to Remember” on The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond. The album, produced by T Bone Burnett, hit #1 on iTunes.

Case is also known for her highly regarded work as a member of Canadian indie group The New Pornographers, as well as with Neko Case and Her Boyfriends, The Corn Sisters and The Sadies.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, April 20, 10am online at www.summersolsticeshow.com and in person at all Graywhale locations.

Past Summer Solstice Show headliners include: Ani DiFranco, CAKE, Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band and Ray LaMontagne.

The Summer Solstice Show is a fundraiser for the 2012 Utah Arts Festival. The Utah Arts Festival runs June 21–24 on Library Square, downtown Salt Lake City.
