Kindred Spirits Spring Session
Explorations in Painting
If you would like to explore painting in new and unique ways, this is the class for you! In this six-week session, artist Lenka Konopasek will encourage students to experiment with various painting styles, while showing them what it takes to create exciting paintings. Theywill learn all about the visual elements of how to place shapes in a composition and to work with line, texture and various applications of color. Students will create their own masterpieces inspired by the art of several famous modern and contemporary painters, including; Joan Miro, PaulKlee, Jackson Pollock, Jasper Johns, Chuck Close and Frank Stella.
Class Schedule:
Wednesdays, May 2 - June 6 from 4:30 to 6:00PM
Max Enrollment: 7 (14 with partners).
Children are usually accompanied by a partner, often a parent or sibling.
Fee: $50 and includes all artsupplies (no fee for partner companion).

Kindred Spirits workshops are designed for children whose chronological and/or cognitive age is 5 to 13, the Kindred Spirits program offers young participants an opportunity to engage creatively in a variety of visual arts projects in an inclusive environment.
