JOB: Community Outreach Coordinator @ Natural History Museum of Utah


The Natural History Museum of Utah has recently opened up a new position; Community Outreach Coordinator, to advance the Museum’s goal to “be the state museum of natural history by providing virtual and actual outreach and forming and maintaining robust partnerships with Utah communities statewide.” (NHMU Strategic Goals 2012-2016)

If you are energetic, adventurous, savy and strategic with great interpersonal skills and a love of Utah this is the job for you!

    “Purpose/objectives: To support the Museum’s strategic goal to engage with communities, organizations and agencies statewide at intersections where the Museum’s mission, goals and programs meet community needs and interests. To provide excellent community relations stewardship both on and off- site, the Community Outreach Coordinator will 1) work with municipalities, counties and other public and private units and organizations within Utah to identify opportunities for outreach, 2) coordinate with Museum departments to provide appropriate programming and other engagement with the program as budget and resources allow 3) create an annual work plan to implement the program: 4) manage the day to day operation of the program, 5) support regular appropriate communication between NHMU and communities and partners.”
