Through May 22
Visitors to our exhibition Jamie Wyeth: Seven Deadly Sins are calling it "Fierce," "Gripping," "By far the most creative thing I've ever seen," and "An absolute 10!" Visit it with a friend and then tell us what YOU think!
Jamie Wyeth: Seven Deadly Sins is a unique example of a contemporary artist taking on a topic long associated with the history of Christian art. In his work, the sins are acted out by seagulls, which he has observed for decades along the coast of Maine. While seagulls have their own place in Utah’s history, in the words of the artist, “Gulls are nasty birds, filled with their own jealousies and rivalries….” The Art Center’s presentation of Seven Deadly Sins marks the first time the work will be on view outside Wyeth’s home region, and the exhibit will only be on view for a limited time.
