The OGDEN MUSIC FESTIVAL is just two weeks away. This 3-day festival located at the crossroads of I-15 and I-84 provides easy access to a beautiful county park offering camping, fishing and lots of family activities. The line-up includes prominent artists in the bluegrass genre such as The Claire Lynch Band, Driven, Bluegrass Patriots, Ridin' the Fault Line, Red Desert Ramblers and Blue Sage. Friday night headliner Dave Alvin and his soulful ballads, along with Saturday night headliner The Eilen Jewell Band and her sultry old-time country and swing tunes will surely broaden their fan base. Also blues greats, The Sister Wives, Kap Brothers Band, Dan Weldon & Austin Weyand, and gypsy jazz Red Rock Hot Club round out the hot line-up. Sunday will provide some gospel highlights with the Sacred Shakers w/ Eilen Jewell & Ogden's 2nd Baptist Choir.
The Workshop Stage offers a flatpick guitar workshop with Jake Workman who just won the Texas State Instrument Contests for flatpick guitar and banjo. Tara Shupe will offer a mandolin workshop, Rick Martinez a banjo workshop, Claire Lynch a band workshop and Bluegrass Patriots a vocal/harmony workshop.
