COMMUNITY EVENT TO OFFER FREE PERFORMING ARTS WORKSHOPS, PERFORMANCES AND ACTIVITIES
Over 1,000 people participated in the festivities last year.
Ogden, April 11, 2010 - The second annual Performing Arts Day @ the Ogden Amphitheater will take place May 8, 2010 from 11am -3pm. The event is a collaborative effort between Downtown Ogden, Inc and Kids are Music and Dance. This is a day of FREE Performing Arts open to the public and geared toward families. The event boasts FREE workshops (vocal, dance, and theater), FREE performances, FREE children and family crafts and activities, and FREE vocal, musical theater and dance performances.
This event offers the community an opportunity to enjoy entertaining and family-friendly performances along with professional-level dance, vocal, and theater workshops for youth of all ages and economics. Workshops for youth K - 12 will be held FREE of charge to any child who wishes to participate.
The event is offering FREE booth space to family-related community resources, upcoming events, and artists. There will also be face-painting, balloons, crafts, and other activities FREE of charge.
