Downtown Farmers Market KICKOFF FUNDRAISER PARTY TICKETS ON SALE
Squatters Pub & Brewery hosts a kickoff celebration, complete with limited edition beer.
Salt Lake City (May 23, 2013) – The Downtown Farmers Market will celebrate 21 years of providing opportunities for the community to support local on June 4th. The Market—with more than 250 vendors—offers a unique variety of farmers, producers, bakeries, prepared food and beverages, packaged foods and local artisans opens the following Saturday (June 8).
Squatters will host the Tuesday fundraising event from 5:30 – 8:30 PM where guests can sample all of the things that make the Market great: local food, live music, art, food producers, supporters, plus the final barrel of a special brew: Bumper Crop. Red Rock Hot Club will treat the June 4th partygoers to music and High West will provide Whiskey tasting.
Tickets are limited, as is the limited-edition draft beer: Bumper Crop. ”We are excited to tap into this rather racy commemorative beer brewed with local honey and lavender, and raise our glasses to celebrate another season of the staggeringly successful Salt Lake Farmers Market and its continued growth in our downtown” exclaimed Peter Cole, Founding Partner Squatters Pubs and Beers. Bumper Crop is a light golden ale brewed by Squatters award winning Brewmaster Jason Stock, using local ingredients by Cox Honey and Lavender Hill Farm. Jason adds East Kent Golding hops to compliment the delicate honey and lavender flavors.
