Proud to support Tandy Beal and her project Here After Here

Join the University of Utah Department of Modern Dance, Tandy Beal & Company and numerous local partners for a community dialogue about what we think happens after die. Following a series of free events addressing the myriad ideas surrounding the topic, Tandy Beal’s HereAfterHere: a self-guided tour of eternity, will be the culminating multi-arts concert balancing some of the astonishing historical ideas about the afterlife with what contemporary people think.
The concert runs May 9th -11th at 7:30pm with a 2:00pm Saturday matinee at the Marriott Center for Dance on the University
of Utah campus.

The multi-media concert has original breathtaking music, gorgeous video, thought provoking and funny theatre, beautiful dance & brief interviews with real people about their ideas of an afterlife. You can participate in an online converstaion on the topic HERE. With 20 dancers and actors the show bubbles with kinetic poetry, humor and magical visuals. This rich mosaic of traditional and contemporary concepts of the afterlife echoes O. Henry’s last words: “Turn up the lights. I don't want to go home in the dark.”
The creative team includes Jon Scoville (composer and 40 year faculty member of the U’s Modern Dance Dept.), Kate Edmunds (scenic designer), Derek Duarte (lighting designer) and video segments by Denise Gallant and University of Utah Modern Dance Faculty member Ellen Bromberg. Galactic videos are from View From the Center of the Earth by Joel Primack and Nancy Abrams. Local dancers include Ariane Audd, Jo Blake, Chia-Chi Chiang, Bre Orr Mardden, Paul C. Ocampo, Eileen
Rojas, Chien-Ying Wang, Aaron Wood and tango dancers Brian Salisbury and Barbara Zakarian. Actors from California and Tandy Beal round out the cast.
