Children’s Book Week May 13th – 17th
Established in 1919, Children's Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. Visit the museum everyday during Children’s Book Week from 12 - 4 PM for special story time with five different beloved children’s books and five different hands-on activities.

Farmers Market Kickoff Fundraiser
Tuesday, June 4 5:30 - 8:30 PM
Kick off the 2013 Downtown Farmer's Market season with a fundraising party! There will be food from your favorite vendors, drinks, plus a DJ and silent auction.
Jason Stock, Brewmaster, created a delicious ale, Bumper Crop, using locally sourced ingredients for the Market. Swing by Squatters and pick up a draft or three of this limited edition beer - $1 of each purchase goes back to the Downtown Farmers Market, too!

New exhibitions at UMOCA

There are four gallery spaces showcasing new art on a regular basis at Utah Museum of Contemporary Art.
Through June 15: Ignacio Uriarte Binaries (Remember the "typewriter" video from "Cantastoria"? Same artist.) Three new exhibitions open in May! Reception on May 10, 8-10 p.m., artist talk at 7 p.m.
May 3: The Readymade Persona. A selection of screen tests by Andy Warhol.
May 10: David Ruhlman: A History of the Hidden World
May 10: Utah Biennial: Mondo Utah. Wow...an epic collection "celebrating the diversity of Utah's cultural landscape".
