Wild Wednesday, Endangered in UtahJune 5, 3:45 pm
With the help of Des Ta Te, the Ogden Nature Center’s Bald Eagle, and Laser the Desert Tortoise, discover what it means to be an endangered species. Learn what causes animals and plants to become endangered and what you can do to help. Meet in the Visitor Center.

Can you walk like a bear? Are your feet larger than a skunk’s? Get the answers to these questions while learning how to identify the amazing autographs that animals leave behind. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Come celebrate the summer solstice at the Ogden Nature Center. Find out why some days are longer than others. With the help of a few live animals, discover how animals and plants, including us, adjust to the long days of summer. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

The dog days of summer are here! There’s no better time to grab a net and explore what lives in the Nature Center ponds. You never know what or who you might find. Please meet in the Visitor Center.
Free R.A.M.P. Summer SaturdaysThe Ogden Nature Center is offering free admission and activities on Saturdays during the summer, June 8 – August 24. Activities led by a teacher naturalist will be held at 10 am and at 2 pm every Saturday. Activities will include guided nature walks, live animal presentations, games, creative nature crafts and more. Just show up and have fun! Please check in at the Visitor Center front desk.

Outdoor Summer Concert featuring Kristin AndreassenThursday, June 20, concert at 7 pm, gates open at 6 pm

The outdoor concerts at the Ogden Nature Center combine gorgeous sunsets and an unrivaled outdoor setting with lively, fresh musicians! Pack a picnic, bring low-rise chairs or a blanket, and get ready for fabulous summer nights at the Ogden Nature Center.
Kristin Andreassen is an award-winning songwriter and composer whose music is influenced by American traditional music, including the old time string band tunes. Kristin has toured throughout North America, Australia & Europe with her string band Uncle Earl and with her “folk noir” trio Sometymes Why. Kristin is originally from Portland, Oregon and now lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Summer Nature Camps in June:The Ogden Nature Center is offering summer camps for age groups ranging from 2-16. Join in the summer fun and expand your nature knowledge! X-treme Eco-Expedition – ages 11-14June 10 – 14, Mon.-Weds. 8:30 am – 3:30 pm with a sleepover Thurs. from 6 pm to Friday morning at 8 am.
Think you know what it takes to survive in the wild? Challenge yourself in the ultimate nature adventure. Learn how to read nature and prepare yourself for survival using basic first aid, map reading, fire starting, leadership, tracking and shelter building skills learned along the way. Conquer the compass, and GPS and put your skills to the test in an all-out, end of camp treasure hunt. Who will win in this wild adventure?
Creepy Crawly Critters – ages 7-9June 17 – 21, Mon.-Weds. 8:30 am – 3:30 pm with a sleepover Thurs. from 6 pm to Friday morning at 8 am.
Would you like an up-close and personal encounter with the creepy crawly critters that are moving around the nature center? Dig through pond muck and search fields high and low for snakes, lizards, insects, spiders and more. Play games and enjoy activities that help us understand and appreciate the creepy crawly critters all around us.
Animal Explorers – ages 4-6June 24 – 28, Mon. – Fri., 9 am – 12 noon
We will travel to wild places around the Nature Center as we search for and explore the wonderful world of animals. Campers are sure to have a blast learning and visiting with animals that are cute and cuddly, soft and fuzzy, scaly, hairy and sometimes even a little scary.
