The Utah Arts Festival and the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office
Currently Accepting Nominations for the 2011 Mayor’s Artist Awards
Deadline: Friday March 4, 2011

Salt Lake City, UT: The Utah Arts Festival is now accepting nominations through Friday, March 4 for the 2011 Mayor’s Arts Awards to be presented during the 35th Annual Utah Arts Festival in June.

The Salt Lake City Mayor's Office honors the contributions artists and organizations make to the cultural life of the Salt Lake City community. Four awards are presented to recipients in the following categories: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Literary Arts and Service to the Arts. Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker will present the awards during at the Utah Arts Festival in June.

Nominees for the Mayor’s Artists Awards will be juried by a panel including representatives from the Office of the Mayor, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the Utah Arts Festival and past recipients of the Awards.

The 2010 award recipients were Richard Scott (performing arts), Teresa Flowers (visual arts), Dan Miller (service to the arts), Saltgrass Printmakers (service to the arts), Jeff Lambson (service to the arts).

Nominations must be received by Friday, March 4, 2011.
