Calling all artists, teachers of art, arts organizations and art lovers!
Join a community discussion, Joining Hands: Education and Arts Advocacy in Our Changing Times, moderated by JJ Abernathy, on Tuesday, January 25 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the St George Branch of the Washington County Library System.
On Tuesday, January 25, from 6:30-8:30 pm, we’ll gather to hear a discussion on how the community and arts educators can work together for the betterment of students.
Questions to be addressed include:
What are the advantages for arts-engaged students?
What role do the arts play in preparing young people for success?
What can the community do to ensure "arts-rich" school programs?
The evening will conclude with a short ensemble presentation, complements of TuachanHigh School students!
This exciting event is sponsored by the Washington County Arts Council and the Washington County Library System, and is the second in a series to be held throughout spring. The seminars will be held in a variety of locations and will be co-sponsored by a County organization. The topics were selected from suggestions made by community citizens.
