Craft Lake City Announces 2013 DIY Festival’s Music & Performance Lineup!

Along with an array of handcrafted goods, engineering technology and artisan foods, Craft Lake City’s DIY Festival also plays host to several local musicians and dance performers from all across Utah. Over 50 musicians, bands, performers, dancers, singer/songwriters and more will take part in this year’s festival, showcasing their talents across two stages. The festival will also include a Busking area, traditionally made up of street performers , featuring smaller and acoustic acts which will be located on the north end of the plaza near the food trucks and Yelp & SLUG Lounge. This year’s lineup is as follows:

“We are extremely excited about the lineup this year,” says Craft Lake City’s Marketing Manager, Karamea Puriri. “Moving to a two-day format has given us the opportunity to feature even more performers during the DIY Festival, giving the community more time to see their favorite acts and discover new ones along the way. The performers add a key element to the Craft Lake City DIY Festival and we cannot wait to see what happens this year!”
The music for this year’s festival kicks off as the festival opens on Friday, August 9 at 5 p.m. with The Weekenders performing on the 90.9 KRCL Stage, and Golden Sun closing the day out at 9:30 p.m. on the 90.1 KUER Stage. Saturday’s lineup on August 10 begins at Noon with The Music Garage kids performing on the KUER Stage, closing out with Night Sweats on the KUER stage at 9:30 p.m. For a complete schedule and more info on all of this year’s performers, visit CraftLakeCity.com.

MiNX will be on hand to play the KRCL stage Saturday afternoon.
Golden Sun will close out the KUER stage Friday night.
Habibi Habibi will be perfoming on the KUER stage as one of the many dance troupes on Saturday afternoon.
David Williams will be one of the final bands playing the KUER stage on Saturday night.
