While Visiting Utah “World Travelers” Make Stop at Cultural Center
WHAT: In conjunction with the Bountiful Davis Art Center’s 23rd Annual Summerfest International (Aug 4 – 6 at Bountiful City Park – 400 North 200 West) the Utah Cultural Celebration Center presents International folk musicians and dancers from five different countries. Come see authentic folk dance and listen to traditional music from French/Basque, Indonesia, Israel, Italy and Romania.
WHEN: Monday, August 8
Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
Concert: 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Utah Cultural Celebration Center
1355 West 3100 South
WVC, UT 84119
WHO: Everyone is invited to this free concert, and the rest of the WorldStage! concerts all summer long.
WHY: Taking about 10 months to organize, the Annual Summerfest International brings groups in from all over the world. Once the groups arrive, they stay with host families in the community, creating a unique cultural exchange wherein international visitors share their culture with members of the Utah community, and, likewise, they take their impressions of Utah back to their native lands. The Cultural Center is proud to partner once again with Bountiful Davis Art Center and provide an additional forum for these “World Travelers” to perform before entertaining at the South Jordan International Days Festival the following week.
