Job Description: The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is located on the campus of the University of Utah, and offers visitors the opportunity to explore over 5,000 years of human creativity with a collection of 18,000 objects and art works from the ancient world to cutting-edge, contemporary art. Founded in 1914, the UMFA is the state of Utah’s official museum creating exhibitions and programs that serve a wide array of audiences.
Job Summary:
The Executive Assistant provides direct administrative support to the Executive Director of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA) and broadly supports the work of the Museum. The Executive Assistant works closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the Museum and interacts frequently with high-level donors and University administrators.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and minimum three years administrative experience (five years experience preferred) and demonstrated excellent human relations and communication skills required. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge fund raising software an added plus. A great sense of humor and the ability to function well under pressure is a must. Familiarity with the basic functions of an art museum or similar nonprofit and an appreciation of the arts is an added plus.
