Community Invited to Meet the Choreographer and Preview of “But Seriously…”

On December 1, 2011 Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company will present another installment of the Meet the Choreographer Series in conjunction with its December performance, Prism. The 5:30 pm performance will showcase the in-progress work, “But Seriously…,” followed by a question and answer discussion with the artistic collaborators and a reception. The performance and reception, taking place in the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, are completely free of charge.

“But Seriously…” uniquely combines the compelling choreography of Charlotte Boye-Christensen, the comedy talents of Star Trek actor & comedian Ethan Phillips, the insightful conceptual design of author David Kranes and the innovative set designs of architect Nathan Webster in a collaboration that explores the similarities between stand up comedians and dancers. Phillips’s comedy is woven into the dance, unraveling the inescapable truth that all performers are deeply, deeply vulnerable.

Seating is extremely limited, so arrive early to guarantee a spot. Call 801-297-4241 for more information.
