Food For Fines Happening this Week at the City Library

November 14, 2011, SALT LAKE CITY ---  The City Library and the Utah Food Bank <https://www.utahfoodbank.org/>  are pleased to host the popular Food for Fines program from November 13-19.

For every can or box of non-perishable food, The City Library will waive $1.00 in overdue fines. Patrons can bring your items to any of The City Library's six locations. There is no limit to the number of items tht can be donated. The discount does not apply to billed items or collection fees.

All food donated through Food for Fines will go to the Utah Food Bank <https://www.utahfoodbank.org/> , which "meets immediate, basic needs of people in our community who don't know where else to turn."
