Weber County Libraries, Weber State University Center for Diversity and Unity and Ogden Interfaith Works present Interfaith Week: Many Faiths–One Family; Increasing Harmony and Understanding in Our Communities; February 6 – 12. Ogden Interfaith Works is an association of religious, social action, and community organizations within the Greater Ogden area that meets regularly to share ideas and support social action within the community. This year's Interfaith Week events include music. film, a book discussion and activities for children. Scheduled events:

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 5:00 P.M. • Weber State University Shepherd Union Ballroom
Opening Event “Interfaith Musical Tribute”: Listen to selections from many local choirs and other local talent, highlighting the diversity in the Ogden area. Please plan to attend this evening of song and celebration!

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 7:00 P.M. • Pleasant Valley Branch, Black Box Theater
FILM: "Eve and the Fire Horse" (PG), the feature film debut of Sundance short films vet Julia Kwan, is a magical, elegiac view of life, death and religion as seen through the eyes of a nine-year-old Chinese girl living in Canada in the 1970s.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 7:00 P.M. • Pleasant Valley Branch, Black Box Theater
FILM: Ocean of Pearls (PG-13) As a Sikh man with a full beard and turban, Amrit Singh sees his dreams of becoming Chief of Surgery at a state-of-the-art transplant center dwindle because of his appearance, Amrit goes against a tradition he’s maintained his whole life and cuts his hair. When his compromises result in the death of a patient, Amrit begins to reexamine the value of the religious traditions he’d turned his back on.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 7:00 P.M. • Main Library, Auditorium
Book Discussion at the Main Library Facilitated by Brian and Debbie Davis
"THE FAITH CLUB: A MUSLIM, A CHRISTIAN, A JEW - THREE WOMEN SEARCHING FOR UNDERSTANDING" By Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver, Priscilla Warner,The Faith Club was started when Ranya Idliby, an American Muslim of Palestinian descent, recruited Suzanne Oliver, a Christian, and Priscilla Warner, a Jew, to write a children’s book about their three religions. Books available for checkout at the Main Library.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 7:00 P.M. • Pleasant Valley Branch, Black Box Theater
The Men’s Choir from the Second Baptist Church will spend an inspirational evening explaining, listening, and inviting all to join them in singing gospel music.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 1:00 P.M. • Pleasant Valley Branch, Activity Center
Faiths Around the World: Bring your children to participate in a fun-filled afternoon to learn about faiths around the world and experience their many expressions. Stories, crafts, and refreshments will be provided.
