Weber State University Department of Performing Arts presents an evening of chamber music Wednesday, April 17, at 7:30 pm in the Allred Theater, Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts. Featured will be a number of all-student ensembles ranging from percussion to flutes, brass ensembles, and at least one jazz combo. The main ensembles will be from the Spring semester instrumental Master Class, and all bands.
While the program is still evolving, it is sure to feature something suitable to everyone´s tastes, ranging from transcriptions to at least two original works for this event, one by clarinetist Kevin Greever and the other by new band faculty member, Shannon Roberts. The well-known WSU Flute Choir will play three light pieces, and the Wind Ensemble Saxophone Quartet will play two, as will the WSU Percussion Ensemble.
