Women of Valor...In the Spirit of Service
April 11-13 | 7:30
pm
|
Women of Valor...In the Spirit of Service
commemorates the 150th Anniversary of Fort Douglas and pays tribute to
women who have served selflessly in the community and in the military.
Women of commitment,
dedication, courage
Women who serve as
warriors, wives of warriors
And the mothers of
warriors....
The nurses, mechanics,
engineers and truck drivers
The pilots, cooks,
medics, MPs and teachers
Choreography and dramatic monologues will pay tribute to the service,
sacrifice, dedication, duty, and the strength of women.
The military and contemporary modern dance; dramatic
monologues and abstract movement - unusual pairings. There is nothing
ordinary about this concert of modern dance just as there is nothing
ordinary about the selfless and brave women who will be honored.
Proceeds from the April 11 benefit performance of Women of
Valor will support the Utah Women's Military Memorial at the Fort Douglas
Museum. VIP tickets are available for $75 and offer priority seating as well
as admission to a post-concert reception featuring honored guests.
Several distinguished guests will be honored, including retired Air Force
Brigadier General Wilma Vaught, the driving force behind the
establishment of the Women In Military Service For America Memorial at
the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery.

Thank
you for sharing the love!
Love UT Give UT

On March 22, 6,521
Utahns donated to their favorite nonprofits for a total of $633,533.
Happily, RDT received donations from 71 unique donors for a
total of $4,130 (including matching grants). These new funds will help
off-set the costs RDT annually accrues to license dances for our
celebrated TIME CAPSULE: A CENTURY OF DANCE program. [click here to watch video
excerpts]
Whether you donated $10 or $500, each donation functioned as
a "vote" for RDT's participation. At 11:59 pm, March 22, when
the biggest day of online giving in Utah ended, RDT ranked #10 in our
category of medium-sized nonprofits.
Thank you all for your support! And... Special thanks goes
to our matching donors who helped your donation go twice as far:

total donation amount right now. [click here] And
don't forget. Love Utah/Give Utah will be back again next year so you can
give where you live!
