We are getting closer to the final weekend of The Art Of The Brick
exhibition! Since the opening on February 9th the Kimball Art Center's
front desk staff has welcomed over 25,000 visitors to the show. Our
small but powerful Education Department has brought The Art Of The Brick to over 3,000 elmentary, middle and high school students through the A.R.T.S. program. In 2011, CNN named The Art Of The Brick
one of the top 12 must see exhibitions in the world. Don't miss your
last chance this year to see this incredible show, so close to home.
Final day of the show is April 21st at 5pm.
This event is FREE and open to the public.

CERAMICS
Ceramics Studio News
By Kourtney Burgner Holiday
Summer is a very busy time for us and interns are a valuable
part of our team. The Kimball is currently accepting applications and interviewing
for Summer internship positions. Details can be found on
our website,
Also the Kimball Art Center is looking for:
Rolling pins, wooden, 5-10
Plastic sheets for the damp room, the best are dry cleaning
bags
Smocks, L or XL men's button up shirts work great and
are easy to wash
Please address donations to Kourtney Burgner Holiday,

Dear Art Aficionados,
We just broke another record at the KAC! Over 25,000 people
have come through the LEGO show so far, with two weeks to go. Tell your
friends and neighbors to come by before it is too late. The final day to
see it is April 21st.
Other important dates to note are the Wasatch Back Student Art
Show application deadline, open to ALL students K-12. This year's theme
is "Around the World." This is such a uniquely important show to engage
student talent and allow them to exhibit in the same galleries where
they've seen works by Dale Chihuly and Ansel Adams. For more information
We are also accepting student applications to our free year long Young Artists' Academy program through April 19th. To apply, click here.
And finally, if you are planning Summer programs for your kids or just
want to get around to taking that class you've always been excited to
try, our Spring/Summer classes are be available for registration online
now -- click here.
Whatever your reason, be sure to stop by and see us soon.
Happy Spring,
Robin Marrouche

I came across this mother and daughter in the Badami Gallery
and asked them what they thought about the art. "I didn't realized it
was photography -- AMAZING!" said Amber and Aubrielle Hintze from Logan,
UT.
