Artist Lecture + Workshop @ Utah Lawyers for the Arts (SLC: April 27)

When it comes to working as a professional artist out in the real world - do you know what you're doing?  Is your approach working?  Did your education fully equip you to step directly into a professional career?  Are you really "in the game" yet?  Are you where you want to be right now?  Do you have the business acumen you need to move forward with confidence?  This one-day series is designed and delivered by artists and attorneys with real experience in the field.  We can help you take the next step.

Utah Lawyers for the Arts is proud to partner with Dance Theatre Coalition to present a one-day intensive to help artists with their business practices.  The day?s events will cover the ins and outs of contract negotiation, break down the professional writing process, and even offer a rare opportunity for editing help for those craving feedback from a knowledgeable outside eye.

Artists working in all disciplines of visual, performing, media, and literary arts are welcome.  Participants can dive into the entire full-day program or choose to attend any single session.  Take home materials will be provided.  Join us for a day of valuable guidance on the business of being a professional artist.
