Rick Kinateder is a graduate of art and design from BYU. He is the founder of Kinateder Inc, an architectural design, rendering, and model business in the Provo area that has achieved national recognition. He has recently dedicated his efforts in aiding fundraising of projects and the beautification of Provo and surrounding cities in Utah County.

Rick has taught architectural rendering to many students at BYU and UVU. He has served several terms on the Provo Arts Council, and is currently serving as the Chair. Along with his love for the culinary arts, he has always had the desire to further develop his skills in fine art painting.
The past year he has taken the opportunity to focus his efforts in watercolor painting. This is his first one man show in the Covey Center. Paintings included in this exhibit are of the local scenery, the canyon lands from areas where he grew up, and paintings from his travels in Germany, Italy and France. There are a few of his architectural illustrations ranging over 30 years. As a gift to his children, he painted the LDS temple where they were married and there are prints of those temples in the show. Rick is a resident of Provo where he and his sweetheart of 40 years, Diane, have raised six wonderful children. The show in the Eccles Gallery starts Friday, March 4th and continues through April 17th, 2011.

Center Stage Youth Performers based in Pleasant Grove, Utah, is excited to perform the Tony Award winning show, Disney's/ Beauty and the Beast Jr./  The Disney classic that has enchanted audiences worldwide casts
its spell on the Covey Center for the Arts this April.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jr. features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, with book by Linda Woolverton. The musical tells the story of the brainy and beautiful Belle (Addison
McArthur) who yearns to escape her provincial life, and her brute of a
suitor, Gaston (Jaxson Dayton). However, she gets more adventures than
she anticipated when she becomes a captive in the Beast's (Dallin
Cloward) enchanted castle. Dancing flatware, menacing wolves and singing
furniture fill the stage with thrills in this beloved fairy tale about
very different people finding strength in one another and learning how
to love.

The production is a condensed version of the Broadway hit musical
"Beauty and the Beast." The 75-minute production will showcase the
talents of 88 youth from Utah County, ages 7-18. Filled with lovable
characters, beautiful tunes and enchanting sets and costumes, this "tale
as old as time" is sure to be an exciting night out for the entire family.
