WHY: About the Utah Women Artists Exhibition:
The Utah Women Artists Exhibition was established in 1992 by and endowment administered by the American Association of University Women of Utah. The endowment encourages women to have a strong voice in the art community and provides opportunities for women to display the unique creativity that they bring to any artistic endeavor.
About the American Association of University Women:
The American Association of University Women is a national network of over 160,000 university graduates of all ages, occupations and academic backgrounds. It is the oldest and largest organization working for the advancement of women and girls, having its beginnings in 1881. All members are joined to promote equity for women and girls through action, research and lifelong learning for advancement in employment, the family and positive societal change. “Celebrating the Diversity of Women” embodies these ideals by featuring 50 female artists with over 70 pieces of artwork in a variety of mediums.
