Raymond Tymas-Jones to be Featured in a
Sundays@7 Spotlight Concert

The School of Music is proud to feature tenor Raymond Tymas-Jones, Associate Vice President for the Arts and Dean of the College of Fine Arts, in a Sundays@7Spotlight Concert on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall.

Celebrating Black History Month, the fascinating program will include poetry readings, dance and song, all centered on the poetry of Langston Hughes.

The powerhouse cast of performers to join Tymas-Jones includes Richard Thompsonfrom the San Diego State University Jazz Studies Program on piano, Stephen McKinley Henderson from University at Buffalo, SUNY as Actor/Storyteller, and local dancer Joseph Blake performing choreography by Brent Schneider, Associate Dean in the College of Fine Arts and Professor in the Department of Modern Dance.  

Sundays@7 is the School of Music’s free, one-hour concert series featuring distinguished faculty. Admission is free and all are welcomed to attend.
