Southern Utah
University, Cedar City, Utah: After previously enthralling students and audiences with her mastery of the
keyboard, pianist Masha Pisarenko returns
to perform at SUU by popular demand. Pisarenko is an artist who can render the genuine
emotion of a composer´s music. She performs a free recital for SUU´s Department of Music on Thursday, October 10th at
the intimate Thorley Recital Hall in
SUU´s Music Building. Curtain time
is 7:30pm. The recital is free and
the general public is encouraged to attend.
The evening´s will be a classical program, with Masha Pisarenko playing
the music of such masters as Johann Sebastian Bach´s Toccata in E-Minor, Ludwig van Beethoven´s Sonata No. 27, Johannes Brahms´ Intermezzi
Op. 79 and Frédéric Chopin´s Sonata No.
3 in B minor, Op. 58.
Masha Pisarenko was born in the small
Siberian town of Angarsk and gave her first solo piano recital at the age of
seven. As she performed more, critics began describing her as a child prodigy. As
she grew her talent and performance matured and many critics emphasize her
ability to get into the hearts and souls of listeners and becoming one with her
instrument. Pisarenko performed solos, concertos and competitions throughout
Russia, France, Italy, England and Ukraine before leaving Russia for the United
States. Masha attributes much of her success to her meetings with some of the
great musicians of our time as well as to her competitive successes.
A mature, highly experienced performing artist, Pisarenko is
making plans to record with world famous labels, such as Naxos. Presently, she
is working at her Doctorate of Music Arts degree at the University of Nevada
Las Vegas where she teaches as well. She is actively involved in cultural life
of Las Vegas but continues to lead an intensive concert schedule that takes her
all over the world. She performs with first-rate orchestras, playing on the
most prestigious stages of the world, including the best stages in Moscow and
other Russian cities, as well as America, Asia and Europe.
Experience the immense
talent of Masha Pisarenko. Don´t miss her recital in an intimate chamber
setting. For more information on the SUU
