Uncharitable: Dan Pallotta
Thursday, November 07, 2013, 10:30am - 11:30am
Utah welcomes Dan Pallotta, innovation expert & social entrepreneur
The way we've been taught to think about charity and change is upside down. If we changed the way we think about charity, charity could change the world. In this presentation based on his book Uncharitable: How Restraints on Nonprofits Undermine their Potential -- the best-selling title in the history of Tufts University Press -- speaker Dan Pallotta shares what The Stanford Social Innovation Review calls "the nonprofit sector's new manifesto."
Pallotta has contributed to a new conversation about economic freedom for the humanitarian sector. His iconic TEDtalk on this topic has been viewed more than 1.2 million times. Pallotta is also founder and president of the Charity Defense Council. He is a frequent lecturer at Stanford, Wharton, Harvard Business School, the Gates Foundation, and Harvard's Hauser Center for Nonprofits, among others. He is a featured weekly contributor to the Harvard Business Review online.
