The program at 7:30 will begin with remarks by WSU President Ann Milner, Madonne Miner, Dean of the Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities and Sid Foulger with a video tribute to Mr. Foulger. The musical program will feature:

This past spring Weber State University announced the $5 million pledge by Sid W. Foulger to endow a school of music at Weber State University. WSU President Ann Millner then announced the establishment of the Sid & Mary Foulger School of Music in the Department of Performing Arts and the WSU Board of Trustees unanimously voted to create it.

Arts & Humanities Dean Miner considers Foulger´s gift tremendously important. "Having a school of music symbolically and literally affirms the importance of music education at Weber State," she said. "It proclaims a level of achievement and support. I envision the Sid & Mary Foulger School of Music as a place where students receive a remarkably personalized education; one that encourages them to soar to heights beyond what they ever imagined possible."

A pianist himself, Foulger has a close affinity with the performing arts, especially music. He is a firm believer in the transformative power of music, and is committed to advancing opportunities for music education and achievement. We thank him for his generous gift to WSU and the future of our committed and talented students.

This formal naming ceremony and public celebration is free and open to the public. Children 8 years and older are welcome to attend. This will be a gala affair and all are invited to celebrate the new Sid & Mary Foulger School of Music at Weber State University!
