About the Presenters:
Seyan Lucero is WESTAF's associate director. She shares the responsibility of WESTAFs technology initiative and manages the budget and schedules of technology projects. Lucero also administers WESTAFs presenting and touring grant programs, TourWest and the Visual Arts Exhibition Touring Program. She previously worked as the manager of administrative services for the executive search consulting firm EFL Associates and has broad experience in information technology and administration. Lucero comes from a family of artists and writers and married into a family of artists. Her family immigrated to the United States from Korea in 1975 and she received her United States citizenship in 1981. Lucero earned a bachelor's degree in humanities from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Jen Toews is a finance associate at WESTAF. In addition to finance duties, Toews assists with WESTAFs presenting and touring grant program, TourWest, and provides support for the Association of Western States Folklorists annual conference. Previously, she managed the ArtJob website and played an integral role in the rebuild of the site. She also administered the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant. Toews has a background in teaching English as a second language and taught English both in the United States and in South Korea. She holds a bachelors degree in English literature from Andrews University and a masters degree in English from the University of Colorado Denver.
