Bountiful/Davis Art Center 38th Holiday Show & Sale: (NOV. 16 - DEC. 22)

Bountiful, Utah, November 7, 2012– For over three decades Bountiful/Davis Art Center (BDAC) has been offering original hand-made art in its galleries during the Holiday Season.  “A seasonal favorite since 1974, this year’s Annual Holiday Show & Sale features the works of Utah’s most creative artists and artisans.  About 75 artists will be represented and the variety and selection are endless,” says Emma J. Dugal, BDAC director.

The annual Holiday Show is a highly celebrated seasonal tradition of Bountiful/Davis Art Center. Come enjoy the festive air of this exhibit, featuring select works from many of Utah’s finest artists.

This will be the last exhibit in the Main Street location.  In early January, BDAC will move to the Davis County Memorial Courthouse (28 East State Street) in Farmington until the renovation of BDAC’s permanent home in Bountiful is complete.  BDAC appreciates the support of members, patrons, artists and sponsors for the past 15 years that it has resided in this building.  We look forward to another chapter in the continuing legacy of Bountiful/Davis Art Center.

“I love Bountiful/Davis Art Center!  I’m always impressed with their openness to various art styles and the excellent staff.  BDAC is a staple for the community well beyond Davis County.” Robert McKay

The exhibition which runs through December 22,opens Friday, November 16 with a public reception from 7-9 p.m. that features art, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment.  BDAC members, guests and participating artists are invited to a “First Look” preview of the exhibition beginning at 6 p.m. For information about membership, go to www.bdac.org.  Memberships start at $10 per year and may be purchased online, or call BDAC, 801 292-0367, for more information.   Membership dollars help to sustain the programs of Bountiful/Davis Art Center.  Benefits of membership include discounts on gallery and gift shop sales, discounts on class tuition and special invitations to various events at BDAC.  Special incentives are available for new members and renewals during the Annual Membership Drive, November – December.  These incentives include season tickets to CenterPoint Legacy Theatre, passes to the South Davis Recreation Center and gift certificates to Robintino’s and Roosters.

“The Holiday Show is a wonderful opportunity,” says Dugal, “to find that special gift – an original work of art.”  The galleries will be filled to overflowing with oil paintings, pastels, photography, watercolors, ceramics and jewelry, all reasonably priced.  Holiday shoppers will be able to take their gifts home immediately.  Replacements by our Holiday Artists mean that the galleries will have an ever-changing selection throughout the duration of the show.  BDAC members will receive a 10-20% discount on purchases. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Utah artists and the BDAC.
