This is no ordinary wreath making workshop! Marina, a collage and assemblage artist, will guide you in the creation of your wreath, showing you the techniques she uses in her own work. Looking to Victorian wreaths for inspiration, Marina will build on the idea of celebrating a special person or event in your life in the creation of your wreath.
While Art Access will provide all necessary materials, participants are encouraged to personalize their wreaths by incorporating meaningful, symbolic and theme-related items into their wreath creations. Below is a list of ideas of items/memorabilia for inspiration:
- copies of old or new photographs
- ribbon or pieces of fabric or lace
- souvenirs from memorable trips
- baby mementos
- symbols such as miniature musical notes or copies of sheet music
- vintage ornaments
- dog tags or charms
- mismatched earrings or watch parts
Cost: $25 per participant (includes supplies for one wreath)
