Job Description: Artspace, a small Salt Lake City based nonprofit developer that creates affordable live and work space for artists, cultural organizations, and non-profits, is seeking someone to assist the director and to be involved in all aspects of the organization including real estate development, property management, and grant writing.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will assist and support the director in all aspects of Artspace’s day to day work and will perform a wide range of duties that include assisting the following and similar tasks: financing and construction of real estate projects; assembling financials and other items for board packets; grant writing and reporting; occasional event planning; involvement in property management; updating website; providing tours to lenders, funders, government officials, and community groups; as well as taking minutes at board meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point skills as well as having some financial literacy. Strong writing and editing skills. Must be able to work with corporate bankers, funders, community groups, other nonprofits Artspace tenants, contractors, management company, and board of directors.
Experience in nonprofit sector, real estate, property management, and/or financing would be helpful as would knowledge with donor base systems.
SALARY INFORMATION:
Compensation is dependent upon experience. Benefits are available.
