The City Library Now Offering eBooks on Amazon Kindle Devices

Sept 22, 2011, SALT LAKE CITY – Kindle users now have access to over 6,000 eBooks and eAudio books from the Salt Lake City Public Library System.

The City Library has been lending electronic and audio books to patrons using electronic reading and mobile devices such as the Apple iPad and iPhone, Google Android, and Blackberry, as well personal computers. This year, over 20,000 titles have been downloaded from the City Library’s website.

In June, Amazon listed Salt Lake City as one of the most well-read cities in the U.S. based on downloads from their Kindle store, as well as book, newspaper and magazine sales.

To take advantage of downloadable books and audio books, Library cardholders can visit http://overdrive.slcpl.org.
