Weber State University Department of the Performing Arts and the Union Station Foundation present Jazz at the Station with The WSU Jazz Combo, Wednesday, October 12, 7:00 pm in the Grand Lobby of Ogden’s Union Station.
The WSU Jazz Combo is comprised of students from the larger WSU Jazz Ensemble. These students want more experience with jazz performance and improvization. They meet separately and for no additional credit - except for the love of jazz.
Tunes on the program will include “Actual Proof” and “Cantaloupe Island” by Herbie Hancock, “In Walked Bud” by Thelonius Monk, “Green Dolphin Street,” “Swing Gitan” by Django Rinehart, and some Beatles songs. Casey Wood will be singing a number of other pieces.
